Lisandro López (born 2 March 1983) is an Argentine footballer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lisandro was born in the Rafael Obligado district of Buenos Aires. He currently plays for F.C.Porto. He has played for the Argentina national football team
National Team
López has earned caps for Argentina. He is predominantly a substituite but was still a key part of the team during Qualifying for the World Cup in Germany.
Clubs
López started his career at Racing Club of Argentina in the Argentine Primera. He was the leagues top scorer in the Apertura tournament of 2004. this goalscoring prowess provoked the interest of several European teams including Arsenal F.C. and FC Porto.
López eventually made the switch to Porto for a transfer fee of a 2.5 million euros. He has quickly become a key player for Arsenal, scoring vital goals for the team, including the first goal against FC Porto in 2005/06.

López was nervous about playing for F.C.Porto as he once said at the signing: "I am now playing for a club that appreciates me. He was part of the 2005-06 Portuguese national champions.
